9/23/18 – The Eye of The Storm

“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.” John 14:27

This past week we’ve watched the devastation of hurricane Florence on North Carolina. Tropic Storms pack powerful winds and leave flooding in their wake. However, there is a place within these storms called the “eye”. The eye of the storm is a atmospheric phenomenon where, in the middle of the storm, there is peace and calm. Life brings its share of storms and trouble. None of us are immune to it. But according to Jesus in John 14, there is an eye in the storm that He provides as a place of peace and freedom from anxiety. He left us with His peace. The question is, “Are we experiencing it?”

This Sunday Dan will unpack John 14:27 and help us to understand how we can have peace in the midst of life storms. Come join us at 10 AM sharp!
