The words father or dad bring back painful memories for many who hear them. For some, it was a dad or father who was abusive, uninvolved, overbearing, non-committed or not around.Unfortunately, our culture has communicated to men that fathers are not needed. Single parent homes are far too common. When you hear the word linchpin what comes to mind?
In literal terms, a linchpin is a pin that passes through the end of an axle to keep a wheel in position. Metaphorically, it can be used of a person that serves to hold together parts or elements that exist or function as a unit.
As I thought about the significance of dads, I realized God to provides the family with linchpins.
